A walker was experiencing vertigo descending Rannerdale Knotts. Vertigo can be a symptom of a serious medical episode, so two vehicles were despatched to deal with a potential stretcher evacuation. Happily, the walker was able to be reassured and escorted from the fell with assistance.

A walker was suffering suspected heat stroke in the warm weather whilst walking round Buttermere lake. Their companion had run to Buttermere village to raise the alarm and when the Team arrived on scene, found the casualty had recovered somewhat and were able to be assisted along the lakeshore to a waiting ambulance.

A walker experienced multiple fainting episodes in the warm weather. The Team assessed them and decided to stretcher them back to the car park where their companion was parked, in order not to exacerbate their condition.

The Team was asked to assist NWAS with evacuation of an unconscious person on difficult ground. On further investigation, however, the Team was not required and stood down.

A group of walkers were attempting to cross the River Liza, when one of the group injured their ankle on the rocky river bed. The Team couldn't find the group at the reported location, so the vehicles conducted a search of the surrounding tracks and located the group further down the valley. The Team provided analgesia, splinted the ankle and extracted the casualty from the river bed in a stretcher, then transported them back to their car at Bowness Knott car park.

A walker suffered a prolonged seizure on Binsey. As the Team made its way to the fell, an NWAS ambulance had already arrived and reached the scene shortly before the first team members. NWAS paramedics assessed the casualty and the Team helped them back down the track.

A walker undertaking the Coast to Coast slipped and took a tumbling fall down Loft Beck, overlooking Ennerdale. A full call-out was initiated with Team members approaching from both Honister and Ennerdale. Initial details suggested a significant fall and potential head injury. A Coastguard Helicopter was requested, fortunately Rescue 897 was training in the area and diverted to assist. Rescue 897 was first on scene and completed an initial assessment and found the casualty to have sustained a significant back injury. CMRT packaged the casualty and carried them to Rescue 897 for onward transport to the Cumberland Infirmary.

A walker injured their ankle above Warnscale Beck. Their group had made it to Warnacale Bottom but the casualty could not continue, whereupon passing walkers raised the alarm. When the Team arrived, they assessed and splinted the ankle and drove the casualty along the track to Gatesgarth car park, where they were transported to hospital by a relative.
