The Team were asked to assist Keswick MRT with a long stretcher carry due to limited numbers. See Keswick's full report here.

A walker slipped, suffering a lower leg injury. Team members treated and packaged into the stretcher. Due to the potential for a long stretcher carry back to the vehicles, helicopter assistance was requested. The Maritime and Coastguard Agency helicopter from Carlisle was able to attend. The casualty was loaded on board Rescue 897 before being flown back to Carlisle for further assessment at the Cumberland Infirmary.

A lone walker had failed to return to Black Sail Youth Hostel after dark. Youth Hostel staff managed to contact the walker, who had become lost in the vicinity of High Crag. Unable to find them and in the worsening night-time weather, they asked the Team to mount a search; as the Team assembled, they contacted the Team again to say the walker had been found and they were making their way back to the Youth Hostel.

Two walkers became concerned about their location as daylight broke and they found themselves in inclement weather, though phone signal was poor and the Team was unable to get sufficient information to respond. As Team Leaders tried to gather more information, the walkers called back, saying the weather had cleared and they were able to continue off the fell on their own.

Two walkers on High Stile strayed from the path and found themselves in steep, difficult ground. One of the pair had already slipped, thankfully only sustaining minor scratches to their hands. The pair then called for help. Their exact location was pinpointed using PhoneFind. A text message is sent to the caller's phone, they then click a link allowing the Team to see their phone's location on a map. The Team made their way to Gatesgarth before heading up the hill. A rope system was rigged and a Team member was lowered down to the walkers. The pair were then lowered to safer ground. Once on easier terrain, the two walkers were able to continue their walk back to Buttermere, and the Team made their way back to the vehicles at Gatesgarth.

Team leaders assisted Police in planning the search for a missing walker, though had too little information to deploy the Team effectively.

A group of campers became concerned about their situation in worsening weather. The Team Leader reassured them that the bad weather was passing and they were very close to the fell road, so to wait out the weather and walk off in the light, with an instruction to call back if their situation worsened. The campers duly made it off the hill themselves.

The Team was asked to assist in the search for a missing person. With little information on their likely whereabouts, the Team carried out a structured search of the paths, tracks and roads around Loweswater. Just as the search was concluding, the Team were called to another incident at Near Ruddy Beck.

Two walkers called Mountain Rescue, having come across a walker with a broken ankle whilst walking by Near Ruddy Beck. The injured party was assessed by one of the Team's doctors and deemed to be suffering from mild hypothermia and a significant limb injury that required immediate evacuation. Due to the casualty's condition, helicopter assistance was requested. Maritime and Coastguard Agency Rescue 897 from Carlisle attended and the walker was winched from a technically difficult location with great skill before being flown onwards to the Cumberland Infirmary for further treatment.

The Team received a call to a walker who had collapsed on the Buttermere lakeshore path. The walker was conscious as the Team arrived and was assessed by a Team doc, then stretchered to the vehicles and transported to their car in Keswick.
