CMRT were alerted to a call for help from a walker in the Warnscale area. With limited details, the Team drove to Warnscale but could not locate the walker. Further communication established the walker had resolved the situation and managed to get themself to safety. The Team stood down and returned to base.

The Team was called out by Cumbria Police after reports were received about a group of individuals on the summit of Rannerdale Knotts. One of the group was suffering from chest pains and was unable to move. Given the potential life-threatening implications of such symptoms the Team was immediately despatched to Hause Point on the shore of Crummock Water, before heading up the fell on foot. When the Team arrived on scene it became apparent that the chest pains were due to an episode of an existing health condition and the casualty was able to walk themselves off the fell before the group was transported to their vehicle.

Cumbria Police asked CMRT to assist a walker who had reported the rest of their group had not yet returned to a rendevous point significantly later than agreed. Phone communication with the informant could not be re-established and, now dark and potentially covering a very large search area, CMRT drove to Gatesgarth to establish further details with the informant in person. Luckily, the informant had received a phone call from the missing party and all was well.

A couple were staying at a campsite near Caldbeck and became lost on the boggy moorland whilst walking back to their accommodation as darkness fell. The Team were able to identify their location and a vehicle was despatched to escort the couple to their campsite.

Keswick Mountain Rescue Team asked CMRT for assistance in a long stretcher evacuation from the summit of High Seat. A vehicle and
seven Team members were despatched to the scene to support the evacuation down to the Watendlath road.

The Team were contacted by a member of the public who spotted a light flashing intermittently on Mellbreak North face. A Team member local to the area went to investigate, but could not find anyone on the face and the Team stood down citing good intent, but no-one in need of assistance.

The Team were called out on Boxing Day by the North West Ambulance Service to assist with a casualty who had damaged their ankle on Buttermere lakeshore. The Team accessed the location via Wilkinsyke Farm, splinted the casualty's leg and warmed them up, then stretchered them to Buttermere village for onward transfer to hospital by ambulance. The Team wishes the casualty a speedy recovery.

The Team was called out on the 28th December by a pair of walkers who were struggling to descend Fleetwith Pike to Gatesgarth in the wind and darkness. They were requested to sit tight whilst a limited callout was triggered and five Team members made their way down the valley. One ascended the ridge whilst the other four drove up the Honister mine track and made their way down to the walkers. They were quickly located, escorted to the Team vehicle, then driven back down the pass to their own car.
